The simplest explanation is because the search engine methodology and/or artificial intelligence does not have the ability to independently verify the information, because the methodology itself does not have the knowledge of educational qualifications in the specific topic, combined with not having the years of experience of a bonafide expert. Instead, the artificial intelligence search methodology relies on data collection of the vast amount of informational content, and then tries to rank that content based on a concept of ‘authority'. This is called the ‘algorithm’, or algo . So what happens when the algo compares 100 pieces of data content that is factually inaccurate with 1 piece of data content that is accurate? The algo rates all the content with many and various means, including probability based logic, and by doing so, arrives at a conclusion of which information to show at the top of the first page of a search result. And that process results in factually incorrect and inaccurate information being shown to the searcher first.
